I'm really sad that this school year is ending; I am graduating high school this week. And it's pretty dang scary.
I'm mostly going to be sad to leave this class.. These girls have become some of my best friends.
We really bonded in New York, and I'm going to remember this year forever.
Bri was my plane buddy, I was the only one who had never flown before. And it was a pretty amazing experience. We had to drive to San Francisco Airport to catch our flight at 10:48 P.M., but it was delayed until 12:30. So we had alot of fun at the airport, for sure. (:
We went to alot of really good places for food in New York, such as Ilili, Les Halles (I tried snails! They were soooo good, too...), and Zabars (for our QuickFire challenge, which me and Christina won and never got a prize for...*ahem*Chatfield*ahem...) (;
I blew so much money in New York, probably almost $400, ridiculous..
But I had a blast. These girls are like family to me. I hope we all keep in touch. (:
This year was, no doubt, the best year of my high school experience.
I reccomend the HROP culinary class to anyone. It's a really good learning experience, and was alot of fun.
I ran out of ideas of things to write.
Soo, that's all. (:

Murder On Maui! (:
Last week, we put on our biggest fundraiser yet; a murder mystery dinner. Our english teachers, and a few other staff member's participated in the acting of the storyline. The theme, and story, were called "Murder on Maui". So we bought Hawaiian decorations and prepared a four-course Hawaiian-themed dinner. We had quite a few issues preparing for this dinner; our decorations didn't show up on time and we didn't start selling our tickets until two weeks before the dinner was scheduled. We had the dinner in the cafeteria at our school, and the decorations we bought (because our shipment was late) ended up looking really nice. (:
We also had a silent auction that we got a lot of items donated for.
The menu was:
Appetizer- Terriyaki chicken skewers with pineapple dipping sauce
Salad- Green salad with mango/red pepper vinaigrette
Main Course- Pulled pork, sticky rice, pineapple cole slaw, and a dinner roll
Dessert- Caramelized banana tart and coconut ice cream
All of the food turned out really good, and was very yummy. We got quite a few compliments.
Overall, the dinner went really well, and we made quite a bit of money, and are well on our way to New York! :D

New Years Update. (:
It has been quite a while since I last posted anything...
About a month and a half? We've done a lot of fun stuff since I last posted.
We had a Thanksgiving pie sale, and sold about 250 pies. We made pecan pie, pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate mousse pie, apple streusel, and pumpkin pie.
We also did fundraising for our trip to New York while working at the Winter Festival at our school.
Some of us took a ServSafe class with our teacher, which I passed.
We made cookie platters for the HCOE Holiday Celebration at the Riverlodge, which we made around 45 dozen cookies for.
We catered an advisory meeting, we made Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan, salad, fruit salad, garlic bread, brownies, and cupcakes.
We catered an 80th birthday party on the Saturday before Winter Break, we had alot of fun.
We are now doing a project in class, we had to pick a country and now we have to do research on the history of food in that country and make a poster or powerpoint on it and prepare a street food from our coutnry. The country I have is France.
Well, that's basically all I can think of to type.
So, bye. (:
